When my parents moved to Yamanashi, my family started visiting there. My hobbies are hot springs and camping.
Roasting marshmallows and sweet potatoes around a bonfire while gazing at the twinkling stars, or soaking in a hot spring while watching the morning glow over Mt. Fuji... Yamanashi Prefecture is my spiritual haven.

The Charm of Yamanashi Prefecture

Yamanashi Prefecture is surrounded by large mountains such as Mt. Fuji, which is registered as a World Heritage Site, as well as Yatsugatake and the Southern Alps, and is full of tourist spots that make use of the magnificent natural scenery. It is easily accessible, just 90 minutes by train from the city center, and you can enjoy not only mountain climbing but also hot springs, camping and other activities.
Taking advantage of the longest hours of sunshine in Japan, the area is also home to a thriving agricultural and livestock production industry, and other attractions include the opportunity to go fruit picking and tour wineries.

This chiffon cake will put a smile on anyone's face at first sight. It is a popular souvenir not only for its cute appearance in the shape of Mt. Fuji, with powdered sugar representing snow, but also for its moist and fluffy texture and gentle taste. They are made with carefully selected ingredients, such as eggs from Oshino, famous for Fuji's spring water, and milk from Asagiri Farm, and are carefully handmade one by one without any additives.
You can choose from six flavors, including the most popular plain, and banana flavor that is popular with children. My favorite is Earl Grey, a black tea chiffon with a rich aroma. I also recommend serving it with seasonal fruits and cream.
