I grew up in Fukuoka Prefecture from an early age, and enjoyed a carefree life in an environment close to the city and rich nature.
Fukuoka Prefecture, rich in delicious food from both the sea and the mountains, is a place I cannot leave.
The Charm of Fukuoka Prefecture
The appeal of Fukuoka Prefecture is, quite simply, its fusion of city and nature and its rich food. Both the seafood and mountain produce are fresh and delicious.
In addition, there are lush mountains and natural parks that are perfect for camping, and many hot springs where you can easily enjoy a hot spring. It is a city where tradition lives on, with festivals such as "Hakata Gion Yamakasa" and "Dontaku."
The local souvenirs chosen by the Fukuoka Prefecture Hometown Support Team are...
"Barbecue sauce"

Price: 540 yen per bottle (in stores) / Sold by: Fugetsu Foods Co., Ltd.

This is a Japanese-style barbecue sauce based on soy sauce and packed with vegetables. It goes well with beef cooked in butter, as well as pork and chicken. You can also put beef on top of a salad and pour the sauce over it for a refreshing and healthy meal. I use it at home too.
You can enjoy a menu using this sauce at the food court at Fukuoka Airport, so I recommend you give it a try (it's served piping hot on a hot plate).
Available for purchase at Fukuoka Airport "Tenjin BBQuisine" etc.
