Selected as a "Michelin Key" hotel, an exceptional hotel for an extraordinary afternoon tea on a special day
Among the many hotels in Tokyo, we will introduce the afternoon teas of luxury hotels that are particularly difficult to book. Among them, we will introduce hotels that have been selected as "Michelin Key". Michelin Key is an index of excellent hotel evaluation newly announced by the Michelin Guide from 2024. We will introduce five places where you can enjoy the special taste of Michelin Key hotels, which have been carefully selected from among luxury hotels.
Enjoy a quality tea time in a classy space. "Bvlgari Lounge" / Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo (Tokyo)

The Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo is a luxury hotel located on the 40th to 45th floors of Midtown Yaesu, a skyscraper right next to Tokyo Station. You can enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea at the Bvlgari Lounge inside the hotel.

Supervised by three-star Michelin chef Niko Romito, the afternoon tea is a contemporary expression of traditional Italian flavors, and consists of savory dishes, desserts, scones, and seasonal fruit tarts.
The highlight of the event is the petite-sized signature dolce. You can enjoy popular dolce from the "La Pasticceria Niko Romito" collection, which is available at Bvlgari hotels around the world, little by little. The savory dishes and dolce are carefully made one by one in the kitchen, and the finish is as beautiful as Bvlgari jewels.
On your way home, be sure to stop by the boutique in the hotel to pick up your favorite sweets as a souvenir for yourself or as a small gift to take home.

When talking about afternoon tea in Tokyo, Aman Tokyo is an essential stop. This hotel is popular for its first-class hospitality and great views. The venue for afternoon tea is The Lounge by Aman on the 33rd floor. From the glass windows covering the entire wall, you can see a view of the city and nature blending together, with the Gaien forest in front, the Shinjuku subcenter in front, the mountains in the Tanzawa area behind them, and on a clear day, Mount Fuji.

Aman Tokyo is famous for its chic afternoon tea, which matches the dark interior. Food is served on an original three-tiered black bamboo tray, and the cutlery, cups, and plates are all black tableware. The contents change seasonally, and you can enjoy delicate sweets and savories made with plenty of seasonal ingredients, as well as freshly baked scones.
There is a wide selection of over 30 drinks to choose from, including the "Tea Star Collection," which uses high-quality tea leaves from Ronnefeldt, a long-established German tea brand.

Experience a blend of Japanese and Western styles in a prime location in the city center. Lobby lounge "The Palace Lounge" / Palace Hotel Tokyo (Otemachi)

Located in a prime location at 1-1-1 Marunouchi, right in front of the Imperial Palace Outer Gardens, the Palace Hotel was founded in 1961 (Showa 36), and after being rebuilt, it was renamed and reopened as the Palace Hotel Tokyo in 2012. It has continued to evolve while retaining its traditions, and has since become a beloved luxury hotel that represents Japan.

You can enjoy the afternoon tea "Stones" at the hotel's lobby lounge, "The Palace Lounge."

This is an original collaboration that combines the hotel's inspiration with "Stones," a lacquerware piece created with a river stone motif, a signature piece by Akito Akagi, a world-renowned Wajima lacquer artist. With the sub-theme of "Colors of Japan," sweets and savory dishes decorated with traditional seasonal colors from ancient Japan will be served on lacquerware. The plates, with sweets and savory dishes arranged to decorate the Wajima lacquerware, are like works of art.
Unusually for an afternoon tea, the meal begins with matcha green tea and Japanese sweets served in original Kyoto Kiyomizu-yaki nodate bowls, followed by 11 kinds of sweets and 7 savory dishes.
Enjoy afternoon tea with a Japanese feel in this historic hotel.
