​JAL e-Travel Planning is a convenient travel savings service that allows you to complete all procedures from application to receiving points and then using them to boarding, all on your smartphone.

Travel savings plans are also offered as products by major airline and travel companies, but this is the first time that they can be completed on a smartphone! There are 40 different savings plans to choose from, so you can choose one that suits your travel budget and plans.

In addition, the JAL e-Travel Plan is also part of the JAL Life Status program, which offers new status and benefits, so you can earn double points.

How to use "JAL e-Travel Planning"

Let me now explain how to use "JAL e-Travel Planning".

The image above shows how the savings work. Upon completion of the savings period, a 5% service amount will be awarded on the total savings amount.

Accumulated points are valid for 5 years. They can be exchanged for "e JAL Points" within the validity period. (The validity period for "e JAL Points" exchanged from accumulated points is the last day of the 13th month, including the month of exchange.)

The method for saving is also very simple. First, download the JAL Mileage Bank app (JMB app) and select the "JAL e-Travel Plan" icon.

Next, select the savings amount and period.

You can make a fixed monthly deposit and choose from five deposit amounts - 5,000 yen, 10,000 yen, 30,000 yen, 50,000 yen, and 100,000 yen - and eight deposit periods - 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 48, and 60 months.

The deduction will be made on the 20th of each month (or the next business day if the 20th falls on a bank holiday) and will be withdrawn from your JAL NEOBANK.

The app allows you to check your current savings status at a glance.

That's all there is to setting up your savings!

On the first day of the month following the end of the accumulation period, the accumulated points plus the service amount will be reflected on the "JAL e-Travel Plan" screen. If you exchange these for "e JAL Points," you can use them on the JAL website to pay for air tickets, tours, and more.

One of the attractions of "JAL e-Travel Planning" is that the accumulated points can be used in various travel situations. Here are some examples of how you can use them.

Scene 1: Next year for sure! Traveling to concerts, live shows, and activities for your favorite idols

If you're thinking, "I want to travel to see my favorite artist's concert!", why not try using "JAL e-Travel Planning"?

The points you accumulate are valid for five years, so even if you miss out on a concert you wanted to go to this year, you can just use them again next year. It's a convenient service that can also be used for hobbies.

Scene 2: Save money on your annual trip home. Upgrade your regular flights

You can save from as little as 6 months, with a minimum of 5,000 yen, so you can use the savings not only for special occasions, but also for regular events such as New Year's and Obon trips home, or for regular business trips.

If you save points through "JAL e-Travel Plan," you can get a 5% rebate, so it's recommended that you use these points to upgrade your usual flight a little.
