JAL Hometown Support Team Kochi Prefecture Representative West Exit
I'm from Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, and during my childhood I lived close to nature, participating in the Yosakoi Festival and going swimming in rivers and the sea in the summer.
Ever since I joined the company, I have wanted to do something to build a bridge between JAL and Kochi Prefecture, and I am very happy to be able to promote the appeal of Kochi Prefecture as part of the Hometown Support Team.
The Charm of Kochi Prefecture
With a blessed climate and surrounded by abundant nature, you can experience an extraordinary atmosphere that you can't experience in the city. The local produce from the mountains and seas is all delicious, making it a treasure trove of food.
Another charm of the prefecture is the friendly, affectionate, and family-like character of the people, as exemplified by the prefecture's slogan, "The Kochi family is one big family."
The local souvenirs chosen by the Kochi Prefecture Hometown Support Team are...
"Hat bread"

Price: 193 yen per piece / Seller: Yamatepan

The fluffy bread in the center is surrounded by crispy sponge cake dough, and its shape resembles a hat, hence the name "Hat Bread."
Each dough is sweet and delicious when eaten separately, but when eaten together, you can enjoy the chewy and crunchy textures of both. Great for breakfast or with coffee.
Available at Yamate Bread factory stores and supermarkets in Kochi Prefecture.
