The theme of this trip is wellness. Let's go on a trip to look after ourselves and our bodies and minds that work hard every day. It takes about 7 hours to fly from Narita International Airport in Tokyo to Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. If you leave Japan in the morning, you will arrive in the evening. The time difference between Japan and Malaysia is only 1 hour! Another great thing is that you don't have to worry about jet lag and you can start having fun as soon as you arrive.

20:00 Enjoy a luxurious stay at the prestigious hotel "The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur"

There are several ways to get from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to the city center, including the train (KLIA Express), limousine bus, and taxi. If you take a taxi, it will take about 50 minutes to get to the hotel.

The place I stayed at was "The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur." Although it is famous as a luxury hotel, it is also known as "the cheapest Ritz-Carlton in the world" because it is reasonably priced compared to other countries.

The spacious bedroom and beautiful white marble bathroom are a great option. This room is priced at about 30,000 yen per night, less than half the price of other Ritz-Carlton hotels in other countries! You can stay for three nights, so you can take your time and enjoy the room and the facilities.

Malaysia is a country where you can enjoy the luxury hotels of your dreams at reasonable prices. It seems like a fun trip to hop between different hotels.

21:00 Enjoy authentic Chinese food at the hotpot restaurant "Feng Wang Fu" near the hotel

Malaysia is a multi-ethnic country. About 23% of the population is Chinese, so there are many Chinese restaurants. Feng Wangfu is a hotpot restaurant with four locations across the country. This time, I visited the store in the shopping mall "Fahrenheit 88", which is a four-minute walk from the hotel where I was staying.

I chose the "Twin Pot" which offers two types of soup. I chose the most popular soups, "Signature Spicy Mala Soup" and "Beauty Collagen Bone Soup".

The red Signature Spicy Mala Soup comes in three levels of spiciness, but even the standard level is so spicy that you'll break out in a sweat after just one bite. But it's got a deep flavor that's sure to become addictive...!

When I ate it with the white Beauty Collagen Bone Soup, the spiciness was neutralized and the flavor permeated my body. After deciding on the soup, I chose the vegetables and meat. Along with the standard Chinese cabbage and pork, I ordered a lot of mushrooms that are rich in minerals. Hot pot warms the body and internal organs, so I expect it to improve my immunity, have a detoxifying effect, and improve my skin!

Day 2: Indulge in Malaysia's diverse culture

On the second day, we experienced the charm of Malaysia, where diverse cultures intersect, through afternoon tea and a visit to a mosque, and then ended the day at the hotel rooftop bar. We also enjoyed the different expressions of the Petronas Twin Towers in the morning and at night.

7:00 Morning stroll at KLCC Park, an urban oasis overlooking the skyscrapers

On my first morning in Malaysia, I got up a little early and went for a walk while it was still cool. I headed for KLCC Park, about a 20-minute walk from the hotel.

This urban park spreads out at the base of the 452m-tall Petronas Twin Towers, a landmark of Kuala Lumpur. Its vast grounds, roughly the size of four Tokyo Domes, feature a lake, fountains, a lawn plaza, a children's pool and a playground.

Just strolling along the lush promenade, overgrown with Malaysian tropical plants, will make you feel refreshed in the morning. Skyscrapers can be seen through the trees, and the Petronas Twin Towers can be seen from various angles.

12:30 Enjoy an elegant afternoon tea at "The Orchid Conservatory" surrounded by orchids

Malaysia is a country where the culture of the British colonial era remains strong. Afternoon tea is a must-try! So we headed to the classic hotel, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

I used the ride-hailing app "Grab" to get around. It only costs a few hundred yen to get around the city center, so it's easy to use.

At the on-site cafe restaurant, "The Orchid Conservatory," you can enjoy afternoon tea in an elegant space surrounded by orchids. As seating is limited, we recommend making a reservation early.

Afternoon tea is RM 278.40 (approximately 8,600 yen in Japanese yen). You can choose from several flavored teas and have as many refills as you like. From the classic Earl Grey to fragrant flavored teas, there is also a wide variety of herbal teas such as chamomile and mint. There are many types of savory dishes available, so it is perfect as a "lunch and cafe".

You can also enjoy the same afternoon tea at the Colonial Cafe, a tea room located at the back of The Orchid Conservatory. It is an adult space with a classical atmosphere where you can enjoy live piano music.

The state religion of Malaysia is Islam. There are beautiful mosques all over the city. This time, we visited one of them, the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, commonly known as the Blue Mosque, which is open to tourists.

The Blue Mosque is located in Shah Alam, a town on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. It takes about 30 minutes by Grab taxi from the center of Kuala Lumpur to get there.

From the moment I got out of the car, I was overwhelmed by the beauty and power of the architecture. I was already glad I came.
You can only visit the mosque outside of prayer times, so it's a must to check the times before you go. After checking in at the entrance, you can rent an abaya (top) and a hijab (head covering) for free to cover your skin, and then dress up.

Tourists are not allowed to freely explore the mosque, but guides will guide you for free. Not only can you enter the mosque, but you can also get a detailed explanation about Islam and mosques, which makes for an interesting learning experience.

In addition to the Blue Mosque, Malaysia has many other beautiful and majestic mosques, including the Pink Mosque, Putra Mosque. Be sure to include a visit to a mosque in your itinerary.

19:00 Enjoy the night view at the rooftop bar "WET Deck" and experience an extraordinary atmosphere

In the evening, head to WET DECK, a rooftop bar located by the pool on the 12th floor of the luxury hotel W KUALA LUMPUR.
On the Friday I visited, there was a minimum charge for reservations, and orders of RM500 or more were required. Poolside seats are guaranteed for RM1,500 or more. Don't forget to check the amount, as you will be asked to agree to it when making a reservation!

The poolside has an open atmosphere with DJ music playing. The spectacular sight of the Petronas Twin Towers shining brightly right in front of you is overwhelming...! It's a fun space that will get you excited, and a spot that we wholeheartedly recommend.

Day 3: Relax with the stunning views, spas, and local cuisine

After waking up refreshed with a morning swim in the hotel pool, you can travel a little further from Kuala Lumpur to a spectacular spot floating on the sea. You can relieve the fatigue of your trip with a spa and gourmet food on the same day. We have pursued "healing" from various angles.

7:30 Refresh yourself in the hotel pool

On the third day, we went to the hotel pool in the morning. "The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur" has two pools: an outdoor pool that children can enjoy, and an adult pool attached to the hotel's spa, "Spa Village Kuala Lumpur." Both are compact, but the contrast between the buildings and the greenery is striking, making you feel like you're in a city resort.

I swam in the pool first thing in the morning when there were not many people around, and relaxed in a chair by the pool. I was able to refresh my body after waking up.

After relaxing by the pool, you can stroll around the hotel and discover many inspiring interior designs.

11:30 Just like the Uyuni Salt Flats! Take photos that look like they're reflected in a mirror at "Sky Mirror"

We headed to the main attraction of this trip, "Sky Mirror"! This is a popular spot in Malaysia where you can take photos that look like they are reflected in a mirror, just like the Uyuni Salt Flats in Bolivia, South America!

It takes about an hour and a half to get from the hotel to the boarding point for Sky Mirror, and then it's about a 30-minute boat ride to your destination.

As the boat sped along, we spotted people standing in the middle of the ocean! Looking closer, we saw the sand at their feet. The sky was reflected on the surface of the shallow water.

After a swaying boat ride, you will arrive at a scenic spot. The time spent here is about 90 minutes. During that time, the tour's dedicated photographer will take photos of each participant. There is also plenty of time to enjoy walking around and taking photos freely. You can also rent props such as umbrellas and panels, making it perfect for taking photogenic photos.

There were a lot of people, but each tour company had their own photo spot, so I was able to take photos of myself alone in the sea without worrying about the crowds or being in the picture. It was cloudy on the day I visited, so I was worried, "Will this be okay...?", but the reflection of the clouds was beautiful, and I was able to take a fantastic photo.

Although it is a little far from Kuala Lumpur, it is a recommended activity that can be done in half a day. Sky Mirror only appears about 15 days before and after the new moon and full moon, and at the time of low tide in the morning, so the tour dates and times vary depending on the season. 17:00 Experience a traditional massage at "Spa Village Kuala Lumpur"

Returning to the hotel, I went to the "Spa Village Kuala Lumpur" inside the hotel. This time I chose the "SENSORY SOUND BATH" menu. This was RM375.00 for 80 minutes (about 12,000 yen in Japanese yen). I think that the price is the most reasonable not only for accommodation but also for the spa among all the Ritz-Carlton hotels in the world!

"SENSORY SOUND BATH" is a treatment that combines a full-body massage with treatments using essential oils and hot stones, and adds sensory healing through sound and vibration to harmonize the mind and body.

At the end of the treatment, a gong is struck next to your ears for a 10-minute "sound bath." The pleasant sound and vibrations make you feel as if your whole body is being enveloped. If you look up at the ceiling, you will see twinkling lights like a starry sky. You can relax your body and mind in this calming space and enjoy a moment of total relaxation.

20:00 Enjoy the famous hotpot and steamboat at the popular restaurant "Hakka Restaurant"

For dinner, we went to Hakka Restaurant. It is located right in front of the large shopping mall "Pavilion Kuala Lumpur" in the center of Kuala Lumpur, so it has an excellent location. The Grab driver also headed straight for us saying "Hakka!" It is a famous restaurant that requires reservations.

The large open-air restaurant, with its rows of large round tables, was almost full and very lively! Many customers came in large groups, so I was a bit worried about the portions, but most of the dishes on the menu were available in half sizes, so even two people could order with ease.

I ordered the Malaysian specialty hotpot dish "Steamboat." The soup is based on chicken stock, and the waiter adds the ingredients at just the right time.

Even though it was a half-size portion, it was packed with ingredients and I was full! It was hot, but the breeze was pleasant, and the combination of hot pot and beer was irresistible.

Day 4: The return flight departs at night. Make the most of the final day

The fun trip is finally coming to an end. There is a return flight at 10pm, so I can enjoy my final day without having to worry too much about the flight time.

8:00 A very satisfying morning at the Cobalt Room buffet

Enjoy a buffet-style breakfast at The Cobalt Room, a restaurant in The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. The menu includes a wide variety of curries, freshly baked roti (bread), rice flour noodles boiled to your desired doneness, and freshly squeezed juice made from your favorite fruit, all made with organic ingredients.

Everything I ate was so delicious that I ended up having seconds of everything on the menu. I left the hotel feeling very satisfied on my last morning.

The Cobalt Room

11:00 Shopping at Malaysian local brand "dUCk"

We went to a direct store of "dUCk", a local brand popular among Malaysian women. They have multiple stores in shopping malls around the country. This time, we went to the Bangsar Village store, which is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel.

The stylish store is lined with clothes, scarves, cosmetics, etc. Linen bags can be embroidered with initials or names on the spot, and are reasonably priced starting from about 2,000 yen!

Because they are items for daily use, you will be reminded of your trip and feel energized every time you see them after you return to Japan. Local brand items that can only be found here are also perfect souvenirs for fashion-loving family and friends.

The shop is divided into two floors, with the "dUCk Cafe" on the lower floor. The big tree catches your eye as soon as you enter. The sunlight shines in beautifully, making it a great place to enjoy tea on the terrace under the tree. In this space that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city, you can enjoy original pastries, cakes, coffee, and more.
