From the buildings and gardens to the art collection, this wealthy farmer's mansion is filled with the traditions and art of Niigata.
On the vast 28,000m2 grounds, you can view buildings such as the main house, large hall, teahouse, and storehouse, as well as a stroll-style pond garden designed by Echigo-born gardener Tanaka Taiami, and art pieces from the collections of successive heads of the family.
The premises also house a restaurant and souvenir shop that make use of buildings from that time.
For lunch, you will have the opportunity to try cooking rice in a Hagama pot and enjoy freshly steamed Niigata Koshihikari rice and a meal unique to Niigata. (Time required: approx. 1 hour 30 minutes)

13:25 Yasuda Yogurt Y&Y Garden
Founded in 1987, the shop is adjacent to the Yasuda Yogurt factory, which makes yogurt using raw milk from dairy cows that are painstakingly raised by local dairy farmers.
In addition to being able to tour the factory, the facility also has all of Yasuda Yogurt's products on display, including yogurt, ice cream, sweets, and bread.

One of the leading hot spring towns in Niigata Prefecture.
Opened in 1915, the hot springs boast one of the highest sulfur contents in the country, and the rare, beautiful emerald green color of the springs is popular among women, known as the "hot spring that will make you more beautiful." The hot spring town is filled with the aroma of sulfur, and is lined with shops where you can sample alcohol, and shops where you can experience hand-baking and painting rice crackers, making it a hot spring town that makes you want to walk around.
