道の駅に隣接している「総合公園だて歴史の杜」内にある「だて歴史文化ミュージアム」は、伊達の歴史を知りたい方にはオススメのスポットです。建物内には、縄文時代から現代までの歴史についての解説や、武具甲冑類や美術工芸品、重要文化財の有珠モシリ遺跡出土品などを展示しています。他にも、「刀鍛冶工房」と「藍工房」が入った体験学習館があり、刀匠渡辺惟平さんの刀剣製作を見学したり、藍生産地ならではの藍染め体験ができたりと、様々な角度で楽しめる博物館です。
