A spontaneous trip to Takamatsu, chosen according to your mood

The setting is Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. The warm climate of the Seto Inland Sea is comfortable, and it is an attractive area where you can enjoy gourmet food, nature, spectacular views, walking around the city and visiting cafes, making it a fulfilling trip even if you just drop by without a specific destination. It is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Haneda Airport. When you see Shodoshima from the window on the right, you're almost at Takamatsu Airport.

Once you arrive at the airport, you can either take a limousine bus for about 40 minutes to Takamatsu Station, or rent a car near the airport. One of Japan's most famous gardens, Ritsurin Garden, designated a Special Place of Scenic Beauty, was built as a stroll-style daimyo garden in the early Edo period with six ponds and thirteen artificial hills skillfully arranged, and is rich in the elegance of wood and stone.

As the name suggests, "One Step, One View" means that every scene is as beautiful as a Japanese painting! The park is large, so you can check out the famous spots while looking at the pamphlet, or just walk around aimlessly and read the explanations on the signboards if you come across a spot that interests you. It's also nice to spend some time enjoying tea at Kikugetsutei, a Japanese teahouse located inside the park.

Kitahama Alley is home to a variety of shops, including a cafe overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, a bookstore stocking art books and photo collections, and an authentic quiche shop.
