On the second day, we got up a little early and headed to the "Good Morning Ropeway" at Kurodake in the Daisetsu Mountain Range, which operates from 6am. The boarding point is about a five-minute walk from Hotel Daisetsu.

On this roughly hour-long course, you can enjoy the thrilling experience of seeing alpine plants sparkling with morning dew and mountain ridges before your eyes in the crisp, clear air. If the conditions are right, you may even be able to see a sea of clouds. The majestic and fantastical scenery is one of the attractions of Sounkyo. It will be a special morning where you can experience Hokkaido's great outdoors up close.

Once you get off the ropeway, there is a restaurant and a hot spring where you can take a day trip to enjoy a bath, so we recommend stopping there to enjoy breakfast or a morning bath.

If you come to Hokkaido, one of the activities you should definitely try is horse riding. At Clark Horse Garden, everyone from beginners to advanced riders can enjoy a safe and authentic horse riding experience.

Beginners start in the circular arena, learning the basics of how to move the horse forward, stop it, and turn it.

After training in the circular arena, you'll climb onto your horse's back and head out to the lush green grasslands. The forest scenery from a higher position than usual, rocked by the horse, is very tranquil. Please try experiencing the magical experience of walking through the forest while breathing in sync with your horse.

After horseback riding, have lunch at the nearby "Cafe good life." The cafe, covered in lush ivy, feels like a hideaway. The interior has a relaxing country-style atmosphere, and you can see the budding plants outside the windows.

You can spend a relaxing time enjoying a hearty lunch menu and homemade cakes. The store also sells baked goods and jams, making it a great place to buy souvenirs.

Asahiyama Zoo is popular for its animal behavior exhibits. You will be greeted by a variety of animals, including polar bears and other animals unique to cold climates.

In the Penguin House, you can see the penguins swimming vigorously after returning from their walks, and in the Seal House, you can see the adorable seals swimming in a tunnel-shaped tank chasing food.

This zoo allows you to see the unique characteristics of animals up close, and the peaceful time spent listening to the happy voices of the children visiting the zoo is a great way to relax and unwind.

If you want to take a break after walking around the zoo, the perfect place to stop by is Nokaya. Run by rice farmer Ukegawa Farm DEN-EN, the cafe is popular for its spicy curry and sweets made with rice grown with reduced pesticides on its own farm.

The most popular dishes are the "Three Kinds of Curry" and the "Luxurious Two Kinds of Shrimp Curry." The spice curry made by the head chef, who is originally from Japanese cuisine, has a refined taste that brings out the flavor of the ingredients. Curry is also available for takeout, and the lineup changes monthly.

After your meal, enjoy some of the shop's signature sweets, including seasonal parfaits, and coffee roasted at a local cafe. Take a break and relax with these adorable sweets.

You can also enjoy the view of the expansive rice fields and Daisetsu mountain range from inside the restaurant, so you can take in the typical Asahikawa scenery.

On the second day, you will stay at a hotel near Asahikawa Station. In the evening, head out to the latest hot spots in Asahikawa.

"-Freehouse- THE YEAST" is a new and popular spot in Asahikawa that just opened in 2020, where you can enjoy fresh draft beer and bottled beer. First, order the "tasting set" that allows you to taste multiple craft beers at the same time. Please choose four types of beer that you would like to try from the ones written on the board inside the store.

This is a fresh draft beer, so you will be amazed by its rich aroma. Beer lovers and even those who are not familiar with beer will be able to find a favorite drink.
