If you want to enjoy a special seat perfect for a date, this is the place to go! | Konica Minolta Planetarium

The first planetarium made in Japan was sold by Chiyoda Optical Precision Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Konica Minolta Inc. Since then, Konica Minolta Planetarium has been involved in the manufacture of planetarium equipment and content production. This "Konica Minolta Planetarium" is a directly managed facility of the company. There are three in Tokyo.

Enjoy adult screening programs with friends | Katsushika Ward Museum of Local History and Astronomy Planetarium

It was reopened after renovation in 2018. The powerful images of the digital planetarium are projected more precisely and vividly with a 4K high-resolution projector.
The optical planetarium uses ultra-high brightness LEDs as a light source to realistically reproduce a starry sky. 27,000 stars are projected onto the 18-meter diameter dome, and the twinkling and brightness changes caused by the atmosphere are also reproduced.

If you are visiting with friends, we recommend the special program "Tonight's Starry Sky" on Fridays and Saturdays (excluding public holidays) at 7:00 p.m. A specialist staff member will give a live commentary on the starry sky of the day. Your curiosity will be stimulated, and you will want to look up at the night sky on your way home.

<Learn more about the stars>
Nakano ZERO Planetarium is popular for its live commentary and analog-style projections

Nakano ZERO Planetarium is a long-established planetarium that opened in 1972. It uses an old-fashioned optical planetarium that projects stars by passing light from a bulb through a board with small holes (a star plate), allowing you to enjoy a starry sky with an analog feel that evokes nostalgia and warmth.

The highlight is the live commentary by a veteran commentator. He has been telling the stories of the stars for a long time, so he has the most knowledge about the stars. If you have any questions, you can ask the commentator after the screening. Why not think about the long history of the Earth as the stars and commentary are projected on a 15-meter dome?
Screenings are generally only available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
