After enjoying a stroll around the city, we checked into our stay at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo. With the miles we saved on airfare, we could enjoy a resort atmosphere at this luxury hotel.

The room I chose was an Executive Tower View King on the Executive Floor (14th floor). As soon as I stepped into the room, a beautiful view including Tokyo Tower unfolded before my eyes.

The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo is conscious of harmonizing with the natural scenery of the four seasons. The name of the hotel incorporates "sakura," a flower representative of Japan that blooms in Japanese gardens in spring.
The carpet is dotted with cherry blossom petals to give the impression of cherry blossoms fluttering in through a window facing a Japanese garden.

The artwork on the walls, made of Nishijin-ori and Kyo-gumi woodwork, expresses the idea of "weaving," which refers to the coming and going of people at "The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo." The guest rooms are designed to exude a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

The amenities on the executive floor are from ACCA KAPPA, an Italian luxury beauty brand with 150 years of history, and offer a relaxing scent and feel.

If you stay on the executive floor, you will be greeted with welcome sweets incorporating Japanese elements that change depending on the season. Even your relaxation time will be filled with hospitality.

Guests staying on the executive floor can use the executive lounge, where different food presentations are prepared depending on the time of day, such as tea time, cocktail time, and nightcap, and can be enjoyed freely.

The food lineup available during cocktail hour is centered around Italian hors d'oeuvres such as terrine and marinated swordfish. All of the dishes are bite-sized, so they are easy to eat.

You can choose from alcoholic drinks such as champagne, red and white wine, or non-alcoholic drinks.

The lounge can be used in a variety of ways by different people. You can drop in for a drink after checking in or before dinner, or bring a book and relax.

Whether in your room or in the lounge, you can spend your time however you like in a comfortable space.

Relax and detox in a Japanese garden

During your stay, why not take a leisurely stroll through the Japanese garden, which boasts an area of approximately 20,000 square meters and is surrounded by three hotels: The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, and Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa.

The garden was built in 1971 when the new building of the former Takanawa Prince Hotel (now the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa) was constructed. The area is dotted with numerous historic sites that are rich in both historical and artistic merit.

The garden, which covers an area of approximately 20,000 square meters, is home to 17 varieties and 210 cherry trees. In the summer, vividly colored oleanders and melastomas bloom, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beautiful nature that you would never expect to find in the heart of the city.

Just walking around the gardens will refresh your body and mind.

Relax in the sauna and blower bath

The basement floor of The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo is equipped with a sauna and blower bath, which is filled with a pleasant fragrance. The blower bath, where bubbles form from the sides and bottom of the bathtub and the water flows, is not too hot and is perfect for a relaxing soak. This facility is free for guests staying at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo.

Saunas, which have been gaining popularity in recent years, come in two types: dry and mist. If you are a sauna beginner, we recommend starting with a mist sauna, which is not too hot.

There is also a cold water shower next to the sauna. After taking a shower over your head and sitting down on a rest chair, you will feel completely refreshed.

For dinner, we enjoyed the buffet at Buffet & Cafe Slopeside Diner Zakuro in the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa, adjacent to The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo.

The restaurant's name comes from the Pomegranate Hill that connects Shinagawa Station to the hotel. Based on the concept of "a buffet that can be enjoyed like a course meal," it has three show kitchens where you can enjoy freshly prepared food.

Since you can eat a little bit of everything you like, you can enjoy the wide variety of drinks to your heart's content. In addition to champagne from champagne houses, you can also choose from craft beers and cocktails carefully selected by sommeliers, so there is a wide variety of drinks available.

This savory kitchen is a live kitchen, so you can enjoy the sensation of having sushi made right there and then.

One dish we particularly want you to try is the dinner-only specialty, "Roast beef on the bone marinated in salt koji." Marinated overnight in salt koji and herbs, the roast beef is slowly cooked rare at a low temperature of 100℃, and is surprisingly tender despite its thickness. It also pairs perfectly with the classic gravy sauce and le fort.

Sizzle Kitchen offers grilled food, which is rare at buffets. The aroma of grilled meat and seafood will whet your appetite.

You'll also be enchanted by the cute-looking gelato shining in the display case. Alongside it, freshly squeezed Mont Blanc is prepared right in front of you, allowing you to enjoy a visually pleasing dessert experience.

This restaurant offers a stylish dinner buffet that is like a course meal, along with a pairing of alcoholic beverages. The unique dining experience in a luxurious space can be described as a "buffet for adults."
