"KizunAloha" - Now is the time to strengthen our bonds

"KizunAloha" is a combination of Kizuna and Aloha, and represents the deep connection between Hawaii and Japan. Kizuna comes from the Japanese word "Kizuna" which expresses the bond between people, and Aloha means love and compassion in Hawaiian. Both words have deep meaning in both cultures.
A group of volunteers from the local Hawaiian business community and the Japanese and Hawaiian travel and tourism industries came together to form the Kizuna Aloha Association, which is named after the phrase. They decided to send out a message to people to feel Hawaii and deepen their ties with each other, especially in times like these.
