"Ygeia" is a new spot in Asahikawa that connects people with the local community and provides a delicious mealtime experience.
Asahikawa Hare is a multipurpose space that is bringing a new wind to the city of Asahikawa. It is home to cafes, shops, event spaces, and more, and is garnering attention as a special place that connects the local community with its people, and with each other.

One of the stores located within the complex is "Ygeia," a store specializing in homemade Greek yogurt and spicy curry.

"Ygeia" is a restaurant with the concept of "Eat healthy and be beautiful." As the name of the restaurant means "healthy" in Greek, the menu is gentle on the body and satisfying to the soul.

The first thing we recommend is their signature homemade Greek yogurt "Nuts & Honey (half size) (600 yen)." When you scoop it up with a spoon, you'll be surprised at how smooth and rich it is, with a texture almost like cream cheese.

Even the half-size is filling, and the Greek yogurt and honey nuts go perfectly together. The balance of sourness and sweetness is just right, and you'll definitely be hooked once you try it. It's served in a cute container, and it's a dish that will lift your spirits just by looking at it.

Another main dish is the waterless spice curry, made with plenty of Hokkaido vegetables. It is simmered slowly without adding any water, using only the moisture from the vegetables, so the original flavor of the ingredients is tightly concentrated. The most popular dish is the "Shrimp and Clam Seafood Curry (1,210 yen)."

The shrimp are firm and the clams are full of flavor. The aroma of spices and the flavor of seafood combine to create a deep, rich flavor with every bite. Because it is stewed using only the moisture from the vegetables, it is rich but has a clean aftertaste. It's so delicious that you won't be able to stop eating it.
It is easily accessible from Asahikawa Station, and is conveniently located for lunch, dinner, or a quick break. "Make eating more fun and healthier." Come experience the deliciousness of "Igia" at Asahikawa Harete, Asahikawa's new food hub.

A cup to end your night in Asahikawa. Enjoy the ultimate soy sauce ramen at "Ramen Kasui"
If you're looking for a perfect finale to your Asahikawa night, head straight to Asahikawa Ramen Kasui. Just a five-minute walk from JR Asahikawa Station, this ramen shop has been featured in tourist magazines and is a highly skilled ramen shop.

The appeal of this restaurant is, above all, its uncompromising spirit of inquiry. The noodles, soup, ingredients... they take great care in every aspect until they are satisfied.
The culmination of this is the rich and fragrant pork bone-based double soup. The seafood flavors overlap, filling your mouth with a mellow yet powerful flavor. At first glance, it may seem rich, but the aftertaste is surprisingly light. It has an exquisite balance that won't make your stomach feel heavy even in the middle of the night.

The bar opens at 7pm. Customers flock in as soon as it opens, hoping to enjoy a delicious drink that can only be enjoyed at night. It's open until 5am on Fridays and Saturdays, making it a great place for the night owls of Asahikawa.

This time, I ordered the classic "Shoyu Ramen (950 yen)." The bowl was brought to me in about five minutes, and it had an appetizing brown soup with thickly sliced pork, bamboo shoots, and green onions beautifully arranged. Simple is best.

The rich and aromatic pork bone-based soup is mixed with the umami of seafood, giving it a mellow yet powerful flavor that fills your mouth. At first glance it may seem rich, but the aftertaste is surprisingly light. It has an exquisite balance that won't make your stomach feel heavy even in the middle of the night.

It is paired with low-hydration curly noodles typical of Asahikawa. They have just the right amount of firmness and a pleasant chewiness, and the aroma and flavor of wheat spreads softly. They also go perfectly with the soup, and the aroma and flavor of wheat spreads with every bite.

The thickly cut yet tender pork slices are also a star of the dish. They are simmered slowly so that the flavors are absorbed, and the deliciousness of the meat overflows with every bite. The more you eat, the more satisfied you feel.
Of course, it's a great place to stop by after a night of drinking, but it's also well worth stopping by just for the ramen. Enjoy a bowl of ramen that will warm your body and soul at "Kasui."
