10:30 [Toyoura Town] The unknown world of scallops
Toyoura Town, facing Funka Bay, is a town where scallop farming is thriving. Why not join a tour all about scallops, a specialty of Toyoura Town, where you can learn about, enjoy, and eat them deliciously?
A local woman will guide you through how scallops are farmed, using felt scallop models and a board game. If you're lucky, you might even get to see fishermen at work at the fishing port. Also, be sure to try out the popular activities of scallop fishing and shucking scallops (paid options). At the end of the tour, you can enjoy delicious scallop dishes at a popular local restaurant. There's no doubt that scallops will taste better than ever before.

14:30 [Sobetsu Town] Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch
Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch is a popular spot where you can enjoy the nearly 100 brown bears. They are divided into groups by age, so you can feel the brown bears growing up. The sight of the newborn bear cubs playing around in the spring is especially cute and relaxing. You can also feed the bears apples (200 yen) and cookies (100 yen) sold at the entrance. Another must-see spot is the impressive "human cage" where you can observe the life of the bears up close. Take your time to observe the brown bears' entire body in detail. At the end of the day, we recommend stopping by the shop to buy some bear goods that can only be purchased here as souvenirs.
