Shiretoko is located in the southeastern part of Hokkaido. In winter, Shiretoko is a location that you would never think was in Japan. Popular experiential activities include an eco-tour around the silent Shiretoko Five Lakes in the harsh winter, a snowshoe tour of Furepe Falls, and drift ice walks.
